North Atlantic Islands 2009 - Shetland, Faroes and Orkney  July 25, 2009 Celeste departs for her route to the North Atlantic Islands. With start from Gothenburg Celeste sail to the Shetland Islands for a short stop and then to Faroes and Torshavn. The distance from Gothenburg to Torshavn is approx 650 nautical miles. After visit Faroes Islands Celeste sails back over the Norwegian Sea to Orkney. At Orkney we prepare for the last route over the North sea. When we are closing Sweden, it will probably be time for a visit to Skagen, Denmarks most northern village, before Celeste reach Gothenburg. The sailing adventure is a cruising route. All persons aboard are crew members and takes part in navigation, steering and watch keeping etc. Skipper aboard is Bengt Tarre with first mate Hampus Wennerlund and total 12 crew.
